from today on, i will host wine gatherings and pot lucks at my place.
I didnt move in yet but im stocking up on my supplies =)

Racism?

It just ruined my night!!! it was my first time experiencing direct racism. Its about 4am right now and I couldnt sleep because I keep thinking about how messed up that white boy was. I must say I am proud of myself for walking it off. I am not getting down on his level. Well at least now I learned why 'hak gways" are so bitter. I know I always act so asian, I dont like diversity and I dont like going out to bars/club where there are ONLY white people...And this is why!!! I knew they didnt like us!!

friday was fun! we went to iron cactus for some drinks. This is the exact type of bar i want to go to.

• We babysit for a while...tried to get in Pure..I got rejected.

Since there are so much people we want to invite, mainly friends that helped us so much when we were struggling with the pregnancy and gifts for Kayla....Our guestlist is up to 40 people right now. I am sure more than half of these people wont show up. But we still wont have enough room in the apartment. Ive decided that we will have a LAUI THEMED POOL PARTY!!
Now lets just hope it doesnt RAIN!! I will keep a close eye on the weather if anything happens we can move the party.

I requested no gifts from the guest again because i feel bad. We are the only one with kids right now and it feels like im milking my friends for toddler supplies haha. For Kaylas 1st birthday, we did the same thing but instead of gifts..people gave us $100 checks!!! And this is right after the wedding! So generous!

friday the 13th.....

Tina Mai and I went to Josryls ceremony 15 minutes late. But I didnt feel like we missed out on anything important..except the opening.

The reception was bomb digity!!! Cheese, carving station, pasta....ALCOHOL. what else can you ask for? I love the chocolate raisins by the way...so meryl, if you have any left over...HAND THEM TO ME!

We went to club karma after and although it sucked [no eye candy]. I had fun.
My goal was not to drink but there were so many ugly people that i had to take a shot.....and bust out with the beer goggle. Do you feel what i am talking about? People are so ugly that it actually offends you!!!!!

We decided to leave at 1:30. I thought I can go home early and get a refund from my babysitter aka mommy...but to my suprise, we discovered a flat tire! whoopy dooodie dooo what a great way to end friday the 13th. We freaked out for a second but realize Dat and Nguyen are inside the club so I gave Dat a call. It took us couple of hours to get the spare out. We need to go to "BOOT CAMP FOR CHANGING A FLAT" because this had happened too much and we need to know how to handle a flat tire. Anyways...so I finally got home at 4:30. The usual time I get home [30 mins less] when I get out of the club at 2am and karaoke at Family. This totally sucks

On saturday- Mom and I got in another argument. So she took kayla and the rest of the family out to eat and left me at home to mop the floor. So I went out to eat with Tina and Andy. Being the 3rd wheel isnt that bad as long as there are food around.

today was fun.........

I woke up extra early to workout. Mission accomplished.
I went to Dara Salon to get my hair dyed for 3 freaking hours! I love the results though.

When I finally got to Meryls house, everybody was there already...and the food was cooked. Thanks to Brandon and Andy. It was one of the best bbq events i suppose. Anh left to see Ron 15 minutes after I got there. Tina and Andy went to watch a movie along with her cousins and sibblings.

I went back home to take an hour nap before I went over to Mai's house to watch fireworks. I ended up waking up 2 hours later..but Meryl and I still made it on time.

Farewell my stamp rejects...I think we found out what we gonna do.
Chung found a better chance in Houston so we are going to move there in September.
For the month of August I will be staying with my in-laws.

I dont think I will move back to Dallas anytime soon. Maybe when I am in my 40's.
Basically, hes going to build his experience in Houston and when we find a chance we will come back to Dallas.

Finding a place to live!!! Apartment searching totally sucks. I spent the whole day apartment searching....still nothing.


So I realize we never make it for free at the club because we live freaking far from the club..Yeah, we can leave at 9:00 to make sure we get our ass there by 10:30 [also meaning we have to get ready starting at 8:00pm + time to pick up your friends]..but most folks out there can leave at 10:15 and still make it in for free. So I have one more thing to consider for when I search for apartments...Is it close enough to the club??

Here are some things I am searching for:
washer/dryer in unit
playgrounds
first or second floor
newer buildings
cover or even a garage
bigger kitchen than most standard apartment kitchens
double door fridge
within 15 minutes from the clubs
lots of GOOD restaurants within 5 miles
gym..preferbly with cable tv on each machine

This is our plan as of now...
move in an apartment from August-November [november is when Chung finds out his test scores]
Now after he gets his license, we will try to move wherever he gets the highest paying job.....chances are in Houston. Hopefully we can sublease our apartment from November-Febuary.

If you feel like we are not going out enough because of Kayla...or any other reasons....Chung will be back soon and for the whole month of August we WILL go out every freaking weekend!! no drinking though hehe

So we went to Kenichi with Dat, Tina, Anh, Tony and Myself. Regardless how early we left, we still didnt make it in for free. So I give up. We ran into Miko and David and decided to go to the karaoke bar after the lounge. Uhm, yeah sorry I cant give yall the details because I was pissed drunk. 2 beer, 2 tequella, and armoretto sour gets me good. I do not want to get that drunk EVER again. I say this every time I get drunk but I am serious, i am done with getting wasted. If you are my friend, please make sure I do not drink pass 3 drinks!!! PLEASE DO NOT LET ME SUFFER AGAIN.

Kayla and I picked Tina up from downtown and we went to Northpark to do some shopping. After that we went to BISTRO B..yummy delicious. We had so much food nem nuong spring rolls, hainan chicken, canh chua{sp?}, Shrimp goi, fried calamari and Catfish in claypot. Am i making you hungry yet? By the time we got back home, it was 10pm..my day went by so fast.

So today I finally got to talk to Chung and hes been avoiding me every time I talk about our future [only because he is busy for the BAR]..Since this is the time where we have to make adjustments. Its really hard to even have a visual of what our future is like because Chung is so unstable. We just dont know what is out in the world for us.
Our relationship was always rough but it was easy for me because Chung makes it easy for me. and this is why I love him so much. And for the first time in 3 year, he finally showed that he dont know how to deal with this. We don't have a place to stay in August, no definite job, no money, and SHIT load of loans to pay off. We set our standard too high and now we cant even reach it. That two story house, bmw, putting Kayla in private school, and all those investment chung wanted.

I believe we can make it, I always did... but I am just worried for Chung because I know he has alot of chips on his shoulder.
The road always seem so rough. but as long as you are willing to drive through it..eventually you will get to your destination. In a couple years...I hope I can come back to this blog and realize..."hey we made it again...."

Dude, I hate to admit, but i really think god is helping us. Because seriously...I dont know how things got worked out the way it did...but it keeps getting better.

So today we finally hung out with Ann Lac!! Tina, Ann, and I went to eat lunch at THAI CHILI in Southlake...please do not make me go there again. I should of been firm with BELKNAP THAI because I ruined the only few chance I get to go out to eat.
After lunch, we went shopping...my favorite. I didn't realize there were so many shops I like there..so now thats going to be one of my favorite place to hit....It will be nice to take Kayla on walks too.

We went home around 4ish? and I didnt really feel satisfy with what I got at the square today...So I went to Northeast Mall regardless it was raining cats and dogs. I finally found the RED SHOES that I always wanted but that is so hard to fucking find. Thanks to DSW.

111 lbs. I am the happiest girl ever. Thanks to LC and fitness 2k. Well today I kind of cheated...I ate smoked pigs hock. I TOOK ONE BITE but I feel so guilty right now.

Kayla called me "mamee" and "mimi" today. It was sooooo freaking cute.

I think I might have to name "Mikado" my number 1 sushi restaurant to go to. Not only that it is close..but they have yummy bento boxes and the price isnt too bad! I am not driving to Las Colinas again for sushi!! Well thats only if I dont move around that area in August.

So today Chung actually got pissed at me because I needed to find a "date" for 6flags. which I thought its weird because he lets me hit on guys at the club to get free drinks..but I cant ask a guy friend to go to six flags with me. Maybe hes jealous he cant be my date or something. Actually, Thats messed up because he got free tickets to the movies and I let him take a girl. But yea, after we argued for a while he finally remembered what he read from msn news...the girl that got her legs cut off on the batman ride. Great.....If he told me that earlier, there will be no arguing.

I am so excited we are going to CHUCK E CHEESE tommorow. I get to go on their salad bar..yipee.

To make sure I don't forget some of the interesting stuff that happened in our life, I decided to blog again. I am pretty sure yall will come back on here and read some of the memories we had sometimes later on in life. Since I haven't blogged for so long, I would have to rewrite everything that i remembered happened so correct me if I am wrong.

Summer 2007
Anh came clean on holding a grudge on Tina for the first time. She said she is coming out because shes been a bad friend but instead of telling us what she did wrong, she started with what Tina and Meryl did wrong. But to minimize tension, we decided not to confront her about anything. hehe we are so nice.

This summers had been so great for me. Kayla finally got to know her godmothers and she is actually really attached to Tina and Meryl. Ive been looking forward for that because she is my little stamp reject junior. Anh haven't been close to us this summer. I assume its because of Ron and her PCAT. Hopefully this will get better after she is done but I find her fucking rude this summer. Am I the only one that misses the old sweet Anh?

Its pretty sad because I dont really remember a time when all 4 of us are close. Its either Meryl is too busy for us..or Anh was. Tina and I are the only ones that stick around because we have nothing better to do hahaha.


All 3 of us went to get a membership at fitness 2k and its been working out pretty well. I am so proud of us. [note to self: I am 112.6 as of 6/23/07] My goal is 105. Man, I really had a slammin body back in the days but I didnt take advantage of it..now im stuck with MOMMY BODY.

I never missed Chung this much. I always told my friend I love this space I have with him. But that is only because we at least got to talk on the phone couple times a day. The BAR kept him so busy that I dont even get to talk to him for 5 minutes a day. Perhaps I do love him THAT much. We are like peanut butter jelly and a baseball bat.

As of today, I am officially done with partying. I really tried hard to get back in the scene but its not working. I cant even dance because I think about what my kid will think about me if I shake my ass like that haha. I am such a mother. And what is the point of partying if you cant get numbers? I think that was the only thing that kept me going...is the NUMBERS. They were like TROPHIES.

I guess there is a lesson behind every mistake. Because of what we went through in high school, it taught me who I should hang out with and who I should not.*hint* Honestly, if I want to roll gangster, I wouldnt of married Chung. I guess what I am trying to say is I married Chung to settle down and I know I can have a peaceful and successful life with him. I hang out with yall girls because we are pretty much dramafree now.... we grew out of it together. I love walking outside knowing nobody will come and jump/shoot me. I love walking by my "ex-hater" knowing I can just smile and wave but still hate them deep within. I love how I can go to showplace now and nobody will call me out. ISNT IT SO GREAT BEING DRAMAFREE? so yeah that means if I have to cut some people out of my life..i will.

Really, this is the summer we should not take for granted. Next year, everybody is graduating/moving and we will never know where we will end up. This might be the last summer we get to hang out and as tina would say.."CHILL". But yeah...isnt that depressing?
